Atlanta rapper Future opens pop-up restaurant for this weekend only

Jan 18, 2020

To promote his new song with Drake, “Life is Good,” Future has opened a pop-up restaurant called Hotlanta’s

Atlantans often like to remind out-of-towners that “nobody calls it Hotlanta.”

Well, turns out Atlanta rapper Future might. Or at least when he’s in the restaurant business.

For this weekend only, Future, whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, has transformed the Mrs. Winner’s at 4350 Fulton Industrial Blvd. SW into a pop-up restaurant, Hotlanta’s.
It’s an effort by the Atlanta native to promote his new song with Drake, “Life is Good,” which was released on Jan. 10.

Parts of the music video were filmed at the location, disguised as the fictional Hotlanta’s restaurant. But now, it has come to life.
However, if you want to see it, you have to act quick. The pop-up opened on Friday and will remain open from 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m. today and tomorrow.vid
eo posted by Epic Records on Twitter shows the restaurant being transformed, including signage being changed out, “Life is Good” window decals and neon signs being installed and even an “employees of the month” poster featuring Future and Drake.
The exact menu is not posted, but a sign in the window promotes a Hotlanta’s chicken sandwich and the video shows burgers and fries on the tables.

A screen grab of Future’s Instagram story promoting pop-up restaurant Hotlanta’s, open this weekend only.

And that's not all he has planned for hometown fans this weekend.
Future and Lil Baby, who collaborated on “On the Mud” last summer, have the shared history of a hometown, and on Sunday night the Atlanta rappers will share a bill as well. Dubbed “No Place Like Home,” the show takes place at the Coca-Cola Roxy.
