TAKING A LOVED ONE TO THE DOCTOR
Too often those among us are ailing and we either turn a blind eye, or seek less than optimal care for various reasons. Sister BL Carter discusses openly, the pitfalls she has seen when the sick do not get the support they need. When their support systems turn a blind eye. When the ailing person is unwilling or unable to properly advocate for themselves. When their support systems fight about each other's motives. When the support system effectively helps to make the ailing person's days less optimal. We have a duty to act. And that duty is to act in the best interest of the patient first. Not with a side eye on any power, money, or assets to be obtained if you get invovled.
