New Black Media has just as many imitators as we do detractors. So it often comes time to do a roll call of who's with the business and who is opting out. Here I discuss iHeart Radio, Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club, and why they are NOT new black media DESPITE their predominantly young, mixed background audience. To be new black media, a certain backbone is required, not just the ability to sit behind a microphone. When certain figures want to occupy the ear shot of your audience you must evaluate their character and motives (IF you respect your audience), and they let too much slide for my taste. I also touch on the racially biased past of iHeart Media's owner, Bill Pittman, and how by virtue of THAT ALONE, Power 105.1 the Breakfast Club is on a short leash when it comes to what the can and will be speaking on and presenting across the airwaves PARTICULARLY regarding political, social and economic topics that concern the well-being of Foundational Black America. The lexicography they've done on New Black Media, jacking our terminology and otherwise will be ceased RIGHT from the iHeart board rooms, before the year let's out. Trust me. Don't be fooled by the blackface Bob Pittman is pulling by putting The Breakfast Club on. It's a white supremacist giggle-fest as far as the dominant society is concerned, and that should concern us.
