Here's Why Sistas Are Mad That Kylie Jenner Was Featured in the WAP VIDEO

Above All That Drama

The video to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's new record, left fans both in awe by the visuals of the music video and outraged after Kylie Jenner made a brief cameo appearance. Fans were so angry to the point that a petition was created to remove the star from the video.

The release of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s collaborative single “WAP” on Friday, Aug. 7, was accompanied by a provocative video that has since remained at the top of YouTube’s trending page. In the video, several female artists were featured. such as Normani, Rosalía, Mulatto, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose. With the both the song and video major success while only being out for a few days, Cardi B took the time to thank everyone involved in the video.

But one guest stood out that has fans angry. The appearance of Kylie Jenner, who had a brief 20-second cameo, has rubbed fans the wrong way.

The petition has already gained over 65,000 signatures since it was posted. “The video was perfect until we saw K and I wanted to throw my phone” the caption on the petition reads.

Many who signed the petition stated their reasoning for one they wanted Kylie Jenner removed from the video. "Kylie Jenner has a longer cameo than her *actually talented* counterparts. Her being in the video made zero sense. Every single woman on the video was a musical artist and yet Kylie was the only one who has no singing or rapping capabilities. She is not self-made like the other women." said one signee. Fans also cited Kylie's lack of support for Meg during a recent shooting involving her and Tory Lanez. According to Complex, one fan wrote, "didn't she unfollow Megan after being shot in the foot twice," as their reason for signing the petition.

While there may be nothing that comes from this petition, the petition is on track to reach it's goal of 75,000 signatures.
