Not a choice
The definition of the word choice according to webster is "an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities". For example, "the choice between good and evil". A selection process did not exist during enslavement, because enslavement was, "the action of MAKING someone subordinate". Therefore, Black people did NOT have two or more possiblities to choose from. Choice did not enter into the picture and was not an option.
