Why I left the music business for real estate investing. Well, after 7 years in the music business, I saw several signs that it was changing in a bad way. At the end of the day, real estate still held the top position because every recording studio still needs a location.
Here are 13 reasons why the music business seemed to offer less financial gain for me, where real estate only seemed to open more doors. Often spending thousands of dollars at billboard, GRAMMY, ASCAP, and different music awards shows, I quickly learned the music business didn't teach me how to manage my finances. After going broke in a few years, I realized real estate goes up in value and allows me to be productive instead of living a destructive lifestyle.
