Naomi Osaka become the first tennis player of Haitian and japenese descent to reach No. 1 rankings after she beats Petra Kvitova in the Australian Open women's singles final. This is Osaka's second consecutive Grand Slam title as she edges past Petra Kvitova 7-6 (2), 5-7, 6-4. Naomi Osaka earlier won the US open title in September last year by defeating Serena Williams. Osaka is also the first woman to win two major championships in a row since Williams picked up four straight in 2014-15.

Osaka considers herself 'tan.' That's the actual word that she used to describe herself. So black people should not get excited. Just because you look black, doesn't mean you are black.

And this is why its important to have out mainstream black new media back again. Also why its important to have our own black owned social media platforms and why its important for you, us, and everyone else to take control of the Black narrative not just to counter the propaganda from whites but to enforce and reenforce the black narrative to our people.

@Dangerous Television: he's too much of a kkkoon. The problem with those at the top they think they are american than black and intergrate into american workforce and media aka white then put their own people first. The fact that we the BGV have found multiple african american billionaires and millionaires in charge of their own companies yet the community is still at rock botom because these idiots are not employing a black workforce and they not investing into black enterprises like black junction shows its not about lack of money but lack of code and lack of will.

@Black Global Village: I remember Tupac talking about that on B.E.T. back in the day. He was like, "why can't Bill Cosby, Oprah Winfrey and Micheal Jordan all put their money together to build a better Black community"? He called them all out. In retrospect, how much protection would Bill Cosby had gotten had we followed what brother Tupac was sayin'? These same KKKoons are being divided up and conquered one by one. It's going to take unity...unify or die.
