Why I left the music business for real estate investing, part 2 of 2
Chris Henderson tole me "you can write, sing, record and even publish a hit song, but there are several other variables that will determine whether your song(s) will be a hit." The music industry is simply not designed to make you money. By design it takes money OUT of your pocket. After 7 years in the business, I finally learned the music was only about 10% of the business and after going broke in year 6, I needed to learn how money worked.
You can make money in the music business, but it's hard to keep any of it. Real estate showed me that I can put money into something and watch it grow. Conversely in the music business where you can spend thousands on a project and it turn into a complete flop. Hear why I abruptly left the music scene in search for a brighter future for myself and please add to my list if you have any other reasons the music business keeps you broke, and real estate makes you rich!!!
